Hi there! My name is Ebony and I’m an award-winning multimedia producer.
Born to Haitian parents in South Florida, my diverse upbringing sparked my love of connecting with others and sharing their stories. My experiences led me to study broadcast journalism at the University of Florida, where I interned at NPR and BBC America.
After graduating, I traded in my Florida oranges for a chance to take a bite of the Big Apple.
Starting as an overnight production assistant at ABC News, I climbed up the ranks to pitch, shoot, write and edit news and feature segments for millions of viewers across the country each day. I led the production process from pitch to air on topics ranging from celebrity profiles, sex toy entrepreneurs, fly-fishing sisters, female wrestlers, and wrongly imprisoned exonerees.
I’m no stranger to the control room and coordinating with senior producers and field teams to get content on air. I can handle breaking news without breaking a sweat, producing live hits, and crashing video and graphic elements under tight deadlines.
In 2019, I decided to step out of my edit bay and into the world I helped major networks report on. I moved nearly 7,000 miles across the ocean to South Korea, where I taught English to North Korean refugees and indulged in way too many Korean pancakes.
The transformative and eye-opening experience allowed me to immerse myself in a completely new culture, and try my hand at international reporting.
My work has been featured on NBC, ABC, NPR, The Huffington Post, Good Housekeeping, and Miami Herald. I’ve also contributed to Tripadvisor, Health News Florida, and The Independent Florida Alligator, one of the largest student-run newspapers in the U.S.
When I’m not asking strangers to let me research their astrological birth charts, you can find me at a museum or catching up on the latest reality tv drama.
